IBM and Swedish lithography specialist Obducat have set up a joint development project aiming at combining Obducat's electron beam lithography with IBM's technology.
At the moment, rapidly expanding Malmö-based Obducat cannot disclose further details regarding their collaboration with IBM. All vice MD Bo Wikström reveals is that the joint collaboration concerns Obducat's expertise in electron beam lithography, a technology which makes it possible to create structures of only a few nanometres.
Obducat has already sold its electron beam microscope to IBM, Siemens, General Motors and the FBI.
